Ciao a tutti, sapete dirmi se posso aiutare anche con lapp chiusa in background?

Lidea è incredibile, mai viste app di questo tipo in precedenza. Consiglio: stabilire delle fasce e giorni dorario di disponibilità per il volontario in cui è sicuramente disponibile a fornire aiuto. Poi il sistema organizzerà le chiamate in base a questi criteri.

È un ottima idea, non ci ho pensato due volte a scaricala. Spero però che raccolga molto più successo, soprattutto tra gli ipovedenti, poiché in questo momento vi sono davvero molti più utenti disponibili ad aiutare piuttosto di coloro che ne necessitano; quindi a mio parere sarà difficile trovare qualcuno da aiutare. Ad ogni modo spero di essere utile a qualcuno e invito tutti a pubblicizzare l app!!!

Solo usandola ci si può rendere conto di quanto noi diamo per scontato, non sia scontato per tante persone, e quanto possiamo essere di aiuto con poco sforzo.

La app sarebbe utile e carina se uno capisse come funziona...perché io mi sono iscritta già da un mese e ancora non ho ricevuto nessuna chiamata da nessun cieco..e poi non mi fa aumentare di punteggio...se potete aiutarmi ne sarei grata...

Io sono un ragazzo non vedente, appena ho saputo di questa applicazione non ho esitato a scaricarla. È davvero ottima, ci sono molte lingue e ogni volta che hai bisogno ci sempre qualcuno che ti aiuta. Ringrazio molto gli sviluppatori, sono stati bravissimi ad inventare un app per aiutarci. Però, dovresti anche dire a che ora si possono chiamare i volontari oppure stabilire unora in cui il sistema possa smistare le chiamate al volontario disponibile in quella fascia oraria. Per il resto se si potessero dare 100 stelle io le darei. Veramente congratulazioni.

5 stelle se risolvete il problema del surriscaldamento durante lutilizzo. Comunque molto utile e complimenti allideatore.

una delle applicazioni più utili, intelligenti, e umane che abbia mai installato da quando utilizzo uno smartphone. Finalmente la tecnologia diventa utile per tutti.

Scaricata mesi e mesi fa, ricevuta la prima chiamata un mese fa, anche se non aperta in background. La richiesta era di leggere un codice captcha. Sicuramente utile, ma poco conosciuta se non addirittura sconosciuta!

Bastava pensarci e questi ci hanno pensato. La uso ormai da qualche mese e ormai mi è capitato già cinque o sei volte di poter offrire i miei occhi a chi non ha più i suoi. Idea meravigliosa ed è stupendo poter dare concretamente una mano in questo modo.

Facilissima da usare. In pochi istanti puoi avere limmenso piacere di aiutare una persona non vedente.

Devo dire che è veramente utile e comoda questa applicazione. Congratulzioni agli sviluppatori

This is one of the few app that makes difference in the world

I tried to cancel my account a month ago. It gave me the “delete user request is in progress” and has still never changed. I received 1 call at a random time and nothing else in all the time I had the account. Let’s fix this issue.

My best friend is blind, and relies on this app quite heavily. I also use it as a side guide. It has been a phenomenal benefit both for him and for me, as it gives one a chance to connect with someone in need, and helps to make the day a little easier. I cannot recommend this app enough. I’m going to have my students download it!

Extremely disappointing as this is essentially tricking people into free labor. I participate regardless. That is sickening, however.

Helping someone can certainly turn a day around and allow you to witness humanity at its finest- this is what it’s all about- well done and professional with lots of support and community-

I'm happy to help others, and this is a clean, simple, and effective tool to do so. Only once have I had a problem with lewd behavior: I reported it, and they promptly responded. I'm impressed!

I am changing my review from five stars to one star because of a few issues. One. Camera. I’m not exactly sure why but when I have called volunteers, they say that my camera is having focus issues. Too. Ringer sound when trying to connect to a volunteer. I’m not sure what’s going on but I have to press the volume up buttons on my phone to even find out if the ringing sound is going on. I’ve checked all settings and everything seems to be correct. I have even uninstalled and reinstalled this app with no success. Three. Contacting Be My Eyes themselves for other organizations to be included such as Logitech, Bose, and even Apple accessibility to name a few. Whenever I email Be My Eyes, all I get in reply is just the same email that I’ve sent to them with information about the operating system I’m running on my iPhone which at the current time of this writing is iOS 18.3 and I’m on an iPhone SE three. I’m hoping someone Will look at this review and might be able to tell me what is going on.

I love this app. I think it is a genius idea. I wish I got more calls so I had more opportunities to help people. It’s simple to use and the calls I have had have been great. I know it’s not much, but it’s something I am able to do so I feel I’m helping out. Truly great idea and app!

I’ve been using Be My Eyes since November 2022. It absolutely warms my heart to get a call, I LOVE helping others & this is a quick, heartfelt way to connect & support a stranger in need.

My great grandmother was blind at 13 and had 5 beautiful children. I love being able to help others with the same amazing disability.

I’ve been a volunteer for 5+ years and I’ve had the privilege to assist countless callers; many that I still think about to this day. No matter what assistance is needed- whether it’s shopping, choosing an outfit, finding something, counting money, using appliances, cooking, or being there on a walk as a safety net- there’s always a mutual level of trust and respect that just feels natural. I’ve enjoyed the experiences, bonding with users, and the ability to increase independence for others. I’ll always be there to answer.

I was able to help my first caller and it was awesome to help him out and chit chat a bit.

Love being able to help people through the day and night!

I like Be My Eyes. It has been very helpful for me to have volunteers that read things for me. However, I used it this morning to read a prescription label. It did not read the prescription that was in front of me. It seems to be holding onto memories of reading a previous prescription. It’s very dangerous to have this app telling me. I’m taking one medication when I’m actually taking another. I don’t know what the deal is, but there’s no chance that it mistakenly read the wrong thing. The prescription at red was not even in the open. It was in a box. This is dangerous if you plan on it, keeping you safe.

Even if it’s just for a couple minutes helping somebody, it is such a blessing .

I have been a volunteer with Be My Eyes since 2019. It makes me so happy to help people! The app requires an Internet connection. Sometimes I check ingredients to be sure a pet doesn't eat something they are allergic to. Other times I help be sure a person doesn't raise the heat too high on a hotel oven. These actions, simple for sighted people, are so taken for granted! Then there are the times when a glucose meter can't be read or when spots in an unfamiliar bathroom might be confused for bugs. The world can be a scary place. This app makes it safer, but be sure to follow the call rules. Be My Eyes is an essential new tool for sight challenged people around the world. It's free. It makes lives easier and better one call connection at a time. And it reminds us volunteers the importance of humility and self sufficiency. Thank you for this amazing app!!!

This app is so very helpful to many people and I enjoy helping

I’m a volunteer on the app and have only had a handful of calls in the past few months since I downloaded it. That makes sense, there’s almost 11 times as many volunteers willing to help than blind on the app. The world can be so ugly that those numbers alone are a beautiful thing. The app is very easy to use as a seeing person. And I’m so grateful that it’s a free resource for whoever needs it. To developers, for your consideration: the blind are not the only people who are visually impaired. This app could be used by people with schizophrenia or even drug-induced hallucinations to determine if what they’re seeing or hearing can be confirmed by a third party. Very cool! Thanks for prioritizing humanity over profits, I’m honored to participate!

I’ve been using this app for a long time and it’s been a lifesaver in terms of my ability to be able to get things done. The relatively new AI feature is truly amazing and everybody needs to learn how to use it effectively. That’s sad on the occasions. I’ve had trouble reaching Volunteer in a timely manner. The AI feature has worked really well to guide me. My only suggestion is that they remove the comment section after a session has ended as I’ve had almost 0 problems with it. It would be better just to have the option to submit a report if anyone needs to rather than being forced to by having to complete it by selecting I had problems or I had a good session.

I’ve loved helping people via this app. No call has been the same and it’s fun to engage with folks in other parts of the country.

App is easy to use, takes only a minute to setup and be helping people.

This is an easy to use app (and a caller just told me about me being able to turn on his flashlight, which is great!). One suggestion: I often mention to people about this program. You should add to your member’s start page a notation of member since and how many calls the member has responded to. I always tell people it isn’t intrusive or constant bombardment. I think I may get one or two calls a year!

This app helps me read through complex flyers and graphics like menus and poster boards. It also helps me summarize bills and letters in paper format. It can also translate written text into Spanish, which is beneficial for me since my family is bilingual. My only complain is that the volume buttons are used to take a picture and run into situations where I accidentally want to put the volume up and end up taking a picture of something else and losing my previous image description. I wish they would have a setting where the volume buttons were not used to take a picture. I haven’t used the volunteer feature since I have a lot of remaining vision, but use the artificial intelligence for reading documents and other small things around the house. I highly recommend.

I like the app, but it can be a headache to try to get a volunteer to answer around certain days of the week. I think it needs more useful volunteers to be willing to help me and people like me to know certain things.

I love knowing I’m helping someone.

This is such an amazing app. I really enjoy answering the calls and helping people. I’ve helped people while grocery shopping, I’ve gotten to read people cards sent to them, and so much more.

This is a fantastic service you offer and I am so happy to be able to volunteer to help those using it!! I’ve even been able to help several people I’ve spoken with on recommendations or suggestions on issues they were not even calling about that I discovered while I was chatting with them!!

I never write reviews but I must for this app. It’s truly an amazing app that provides help for those with visual impairments. I have been “eyes” for about 10 people in the last year and each time was an experience I’ll remember forever. From helping an older gentleman with their microwave and getting a Jazz song played for me after as a thank you to helping a young girl my age start her dishwasher. I am very grateful to be able to help and for the creators of this app helping others with their independence. Thank you!

I love using this app on a daily basis. I have a feature suggestion, though that could make the app even better. That is the ability to save the photos that you analyze with the app with the descriptions that the app gives. There are other apps that do this, and I believe that this would make this app even better.
